Quigley Trails Park

Blaine County Recreation District is hosting a free family-friendly event at Quigley Trails Park in Hailey on Wednesday, May 1st. Everyone is encouraged to bring their bikes and enjoy Quigley Trails Park's flow trails, jump lines, and skills park or take a hike on our trails!  BCRD welcomes all ages and abilities on this free community event.  BCRD is offering free tacos, provided by KB’s, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, and s’mores around the campfire. To foster a welcoming environment for all, we recommend that dogs are left safely at home during May Day Play Day.

By popular demand, Hailey Public Library’s informal Knitting Circle with master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk continues on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:00 PM! Family Financial Planning 101

Hailey Town Center West

If you want to learn the tools and strategies needed to create a sound financial plan for your family, this free class is for you! Hosted by the Hailey Public Library, the class will teach participants how to develop budget and cash building techniques that create a strong financial foundation. Wood River Valley native Brayden Olson is a licensed financial planner at MadisonPoole in Boise with a keen interest in helping families meet their planning needs. The talk will be held Thursday, May 2, at 5:30 PM at Town Center West.

ERC Clean Sweep

Join the Environmental Resource Center (ERC) for our 28th annual community-wide trash pick-up! Since 1994, volunteers of all ages have come together to clean up our cities, neighborhoods, and trails after the long winter on the first Saturday in May. The ERC’s 2024 Clean Sweep will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 9 am-12 pm. Participation is free and easy! Cinco de Mayo – Let’s Dance!

The Argyros

The vibrant and pulsating energy of Cinco de Mayo comes alive at the Argyros in Ketchum. The celebration begins at 8p with DJ Juidos. We will have two live bands, Los Rivera and Noches de Reve starting at 9pm. Los Rivera will play an amazing set of Sierreño, Upbeat versions of great classic ranchera songs. You will be dancing nonstop. Noches de Reve will play a mix of Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata, Rock and Latin Pop that will transcend generations. In between live performances, the dynamic and one and only Los Juidos will keep the party going with every rhythm and beat you can imagine. This Cinco de Mayo celebration is not merely an event but a jubilant fusion of heritage, music, and community, where the spirit of Mexican culture reverberates through every note and every dance step.
