Ski the Rails is a free Nordic ski tour along the Wood River Trail. Start at Serenade Lane in Ketchum or anywhere on the Wood River Trail System. Finish at Myrtle Street in Hailey.

This workshop is part of the 201 series and are designed for a maximum of 4 participants. These workshops with be hands on and intensive for participants to develop strong mechanical skills to perform regular maintenance independently. These topics are complex and will require more time and materials to support proficiency. Participants should plan to bring their own bicycles. The series is designed so that participants can fully tune their bikes for the spring riding season. All materials (such as: rim tape, sealant, seal kits, cable & housing) as well as coffee and pastries are included in the price of the workshop.

Full Moon Fat Bike Ride

Under the full moon we will explore the valley by fat bikes! Monthly from November through March we will meet at 6pm to enjoy an evening ride on the full month. Restoring the Dignity of Our Rivers A talk with Colin Thorne, Emeritus Professor and Chair of Physical Geography at the University of Nottingham, UK, and River Scientist at Wolf Water Resources in Oregon. This is a free event but registration is required. In partnership between The Community Library and Wood River Land Trust as part of the annual "Think Globally, Act Locally" Speaker Series. Join us for series events on January 15, February 19, and March 11.

BCRD Ski Free Days

Wood River Trail

BCRD welcomes the community to enjoy free Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on all BCRD winter trails. The 32-kilometer multi-use Wood River Trail, which runs from Ketchum to Bellevue, is always free. The Wood River Trail is groomed every other day and is open to skiers, walkers, dogs, and fat-bikes. The Ski Free Days for the 2024/25 season are: Saturday, December 14 Sunday, January 12 Saturday, February 22
