BCRD Ski Free Day!
Wood River TrailFor four days this season, BCRD welcomes the community to enjoy free Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on all BCRD winter trails. The 32-kilometer multi-use Wood River Trail, which runs from Ketchum to Bellevue, is always free. The Wood River Trail is groomed every other day and is open to skiers, walkers, dogs, and fat-bikes. The Ski Free Days for the 2023/24 season are: Saturday, December 9 Sunday, January 7 Saturday, February 24 Wednesday, March 27

“Soaring Standards” – The Advocates’ Every Teen Counts 11th Annual Event
The Sage SchoolThe Advocates’ Every Teen Counts (ETC) teen interns invite you to their 11th annual Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month event from 5-7pm on Saturday February 24th at The Sage School Barn (1810 Quigley Farm Rd, Hailey, ID, 83333)! Come enjoy food, art, and fun activities anytime during the event. All are welcome! The event titled, “Soaring Standards,” will explore the theme of social norms—expectations or unwritten rules regarding how people should behave. Norms and standards influence all types of relationships; platonic and romantic. Everyone can promote safe and healthy relationships in our community by choosing to create new social norms that promote respect and equality. Grab your family and friends and join us for a fun and engaging teen-led event!

Neighborly Spanish Returns!
Hailey Town Center WestNeighborly Spanish is a free, 8-week class taught on Mondays from noon-1:30 PM by retired local Spanish teacher Jim King. The class will offer basic Spanish language skills seasoned with a little history and culture. Enrollment limited to 20. Classes are on Mondays, starting January 22 through March 18. Learn to Knit with Patricia Lirk
Hailey Town Center West“Learn to Knit” a free, 4-part class taught by master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk is back! The series will focus on the basics and conclude with a personal project. Classes will be held at the Hailey Public Library located at 7 West Croy on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM, starting February 6. After the Avalanche: CPR
Ketchum Fire StationAn avalanche has happened and you’ve been able to successfully dig out your partner? Now what? The After the Avalanche series classes focus on different aspects of patient care following an avalanche. The final class will be a Heartsaver CPR class. The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver Certification is designed to teach the basics for those who want to learn how to help save a life. The certification covers proper body mechanics, the elements that make a good chest compression, and how to use an AED. The class will take place at 5:30 pm at the Ketchum Fire Station on Thursday, February 29.
