Neighborly Spanish Returns!
Hailey Town Center WestNeighborly Spanish is a free, 8-week class taught on Mondays from noon-1:30 PM by retired local Spanish teacher Jim King. The class will offer basic Spanish language skills seasoned with a little history and culture. Enrollment limited to 20. Classes are on Mondays, starting January 22 through March 18. Running March 20th-24th, you’re invited to cheer on the elite and next generation ski racers vying for their place on the U.S. National Team during the final competition on the National ski racing circuit. Schedule Wednesday, March 20th - U.S. Alpine Championships—Super G Super giant slalom, or super-G, is a high-speed alpine skiing race. Introduced to the World Cup in 1983, it's a "speed" event, distinct from the technical giant slalom and slalom. Racers navigate a course with gates, turning more than in downhill but maintaining faster speeds than in giant slalom. Sun Valley City HallThe City of Sun Valley is hosting an open house to provide information on the design work to transition the intersection at Sun Valley/Dollar Road from a signalized intersection (currently functioning as a four-way stop) to a roundabout. Wood River ValleyWe are excited to invite you to join the local Wood River Valley chapter of the reGEN Film Club. reGEN Media is the first and only Indigenous-owned and female-led regenerative media studio and their North American film club program uses films to enrich and strengthen local communities. reGEN Film Club is a series of curated films that will give you an opportunity to watch, digest, and discuss films through the lens of different perspectives. Expect to meet or deepen your relationship to both the film and Club community through these 75-minute discussions. Think of it like a book club, but for movies! Discover hidden indie film gems and hear perspectives and commentaries from our brilliant reGEN filmmakers who will expand your minds and hearts as you investigate your own perspectives and experiences of the films in your comunity.
