Work with SVMoA Team to create and learn new techniques with art projects inspired by SVMoA’s past and present exhibitions. All free and geared toward young people ages 14-20. Hailey Public LibraryTo celebrate Trailing of the Sheep Festival, the Hailey Public Library is delighted to offer “Learn to Knit” a 5-part class taught by master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk. The free series will focus on the basics and conclude with a personal project. Classes will be held at the Library located at 7 West Croy on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM, starting October 3. Participants will provide their own yarn and needles. The class is free but space is limited so participants should email kristin.fletcher@haileypubliclibrary.org or call 208-788-2036 to register for the series.

Nature Journaling with Leslie Rego
The Community LibraryThis 6-week workshop series offers a welcoming and supportive space for people interested in drawing the natural world. The focus will be on nature journaling. Prompts will be offered as well as guidance. Each session we will jump down a “rabbit hole” and study in depth one plant or landscape element or learn about different brushes, paints, papers, and other art supplies. Led by artist Leslie Rego. Thursdays 4:00-5:00 p.m., November 2 - December 14 (no class the week of Thanksgiving). Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 12 students.
