TRLMX- Solo Showcase
Floret Design StudioJoin local artist and illustrator , Alex Torquemada, for a solo exhibition showcase of her recent work during SVGA Gallery Walk on February 16th, 2024 at Floret Design Studio. 650 N Main Street Ketchum. Titled "TRLMX" , pronounced like "trail mix", this a showcase featuring striking and color landscape illustrations, as well as some still life paintings of this artists guilty pleasure snacks. Inspired by pop-art styles, this exhibition features bold, bright, & colorful pieces of work, taking inspiration from local scenery around the Wood River Valley. JIG: A Trinity Irish Dance Production
The ArgyrosJIG, a Trinity Irish Dance Company (TIDC) production, is a fresh take on TIDC’s internationally-renowned, alternative approach to a traditional form. In its premiere season, JIG will redefine what is possible for Irish music and dance. Centered by a live band in a unique space, JIG will immerse audiences in an authentic experience that celebrates the power of vibrations, rhythm, and movement. The Community LibraryWork with a community of writers on the third Saturday of each month through critiques and craft discussions. Connect to other writers from the Wood River Valley and beyond! Read and critique pages from each participant and learn new aspects of the writing craft. All writing abilities and ages welcome! Join us in the library’s Idaho Room, or online via Zoom. Visit www.comlib.org for the Zoom link. Have no more than 500 words ready for critique. Instructions for the critiques will be provided on the day of. The Wood River Writers’ Groups are led by AJ Super, a local author with a trilogy of science fiction books published by a small traditional press. She is also a Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Association (SFWA) member.

Stand-Up Comedy Series Featuring: Kevin Bozeman
Sun Valley Opera HouseJoin us at the Sun Valley Opera House for five great nights of stand-up comedy. Each night will feature a different world-class entertainer. These comedians will keep it relatively clean, and generally stay away from politics, though it is always appropriate to warn families that there may be adult language and content. Kevin Bozeman “For an hour a night I’m wildly successful”. With a smooth and clever style, a great smile and a contagious laugh Kevin has been entertaining in clubs and colleges across the country. In 2000 he was the winner of the Midwest region of the HBO “Comedy Competition” and flew to Los Angeles to compete as a finalist. He performed on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” in 2003, and finished 2nd in the Boston Comedy Competition in 2005. He was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2010. This past summer he co-starred in the Indie film “Flat Chested” starring Alicia Witt and Luke Perry.

Neighborly Spanish Returns!
Hailey Town Center WestNeighborly Spanish is a free, 8-week class taught on Mondays from noon-1:30 PM by retired local Spanish teacher Jim King. The class will offer basic Spanish language skills seasoned with a little history and culture. Enrollment limited to 20. Classes are on Mondays, starting January 22 through March 18.
