Welcome to THE GARAGE: Artist's Incubator @ The Spot. Where do all the best ideas start? In garages! In our case, we've doubled down on that model. We've been producing and inviting audiences into ours since 2014.The Artist's Incubator is different though. We have created a one of a kind artistic residency program in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, designed to allow theater artists the space (literally and figuratively) and resources necessary to develop their WIP's. EVENING EXHIBITION TOUR: Intertwined

Sun Valley Museum of Art

Enjoy refreshments as you tour the exhibition with SVMoA’s curator. Intertwined: Weaving in Community examines traditional weaving as a platform for social practice and activism. The exhibition features artwork by Portland-based artist Sara Siestreem (Hanis Coos), Los Angeles-based artist Tanya Aguiñiga, and AMBOS (Art Made Between Opposite Sides), a collective Aguiñiga founded in 2016. The exhibition also includes a community-based artwork emerging from workshops AMBOS is conducting in the Wood River Valley in April. Visitors to the Museum are invited to contribute to the artwork as it grows over the course of the exhibition.

Deceived by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, a 90-year-old woman sets out on a quest to reclaim what was taken from her. The feature directorial debut of Josh Margolin, THELMA is a poignant action-comedy that gives veteran Oscar® nominee June Squibb (NEBRASKA and star of Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming directorial debut ELEANOR THE GREAT) her first leading role and features the final performance of trailblazing actor Richard Roundtree (SHAFT). SVCI’s Class of 2024 students will prepare and serve a five-course Spanish-inspired menu to showcase its talents for two evenings at Bistro 211 Student Restaurant 1 on Thursday, May 23, and Bistro 211 Student Restaurant 2 on Friday, May 24, 5:30-8 p.m. As part of their curriculum under the guidance of Chef Joseph Tocci, the current SVCI students have spent a great deal of time creating and executing a delicious menu. The dinner begins with copa de sopa de gazpacho, a cold cucumber and pepper soup, followed by an aperitivo or appetizer with the choice of pulpo a la plancha, grilled octopus, or a tortilla Española, a potato and onion omelet. For a salad course, choose between a pipirrana ensalada or tomatoes, onions, garlic, bell peppers salad with sherry vinaigrette or an ensalada verde, which is a mixed greens, Manchego, pepitas and marinated olives with a citrus vinaigrette. The main course will be a choice of chuleta de cordero, a lamb chop with patatas bravas, romesco sauce and sautéed asparagus or a pisto con arroz de saffron, which is Spanish vegetable stew with saffron rice.
