Welcome to THE GARAGE: Artist's Incubator @ The Spot. Where do all the best ideas start? In garages! In our case, we've doubled down on that model. We've been producing and inviting audiences into ours since 2014.The Artist's Incubator is different though. We have created a one of a kind artistic residency program in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, designed to allow theater artists the space (literally and figuratively) and resources necessary to develop their WIP's. (Works in process.) We are incredibly excited to announce the inaugural artist at THE GARAGE is accomplished, Brooklyn-based playwright and actress, ABBY ROSEBROCK. Intertwined: Weaving in Community

Sun Valley Museum of Art 191 5th St E, Ketchum

Intertwined: Weaving in Community examines traditional weaving as a platform for social practice and activism. The exhibition features artwork by Portland-based artist Sara Siestreem (Hanis Coos), Los Angeles-based artist Tanya Aguiñiga, and AMBOS (Art Made Between Opposite Sides), a collective Aguiñiga founded in 2016. The exhibition also includes a community-based artwork emerging from workshops AMBOS is conducting in the Wood River Valley in April. Visitors to the Museum are invited to contribute to the artwork as it grows over the course of the exhibition.

The Writing Seminar Kicks Off with a virtual Keynote from award-winning author Jess Walter. This opening keynote program is open to the general public, but registration is required as seating is limited. Registration opens on April 1. The event will also be livestreamed. Jess Walter is the best-selling author of seven novels, including "Beautiful Ruins" and "The Cold Millions," as well as two book of short stories and one nonfiction book. His work has been translated into 34 languages, and his fiction has been selected three times for Best American Short Stories, as well as the Pushcart Prize and Best American Nonrequired Reading. His stories, essays and journalism have appeared in, Harper's, Esquire, Playboy, McSweeney's, Tin House, Ploughshares, the New York Times, the Washington Post and many others. To Taste Life Twice is an annual, three-day that is offered free of charge for local and visiting writers. The seminar features writing workshops with esteemed Idaho writers, an opening keynote from a guest author, and a closing storytelling event where writers of all levels are invited to share their work.
