Intertwined: Weaving in Community examines traditional weaving as a platform for social practice and activism. The exhibition features artwork by Portland-based artist Sara Siestreem (Hanis Coos), Los Angeles-based artist Tanya Aguiñiga, and AMBOS (Art Made Between Opposite Sides), a collective Aguiñiga founded in 2016. The exhibition also includes a community-based artwork emerging from workshops AMBOS is conducting in the Wood River Valley in April. Visitors to the Museum are invited to contribute to the artwork as it grows over the course of the exhibition.
Join the Environmental Resource Center (ERC) for our 28th annual community-wide trash pick-up! Since 1994, volunteers of all ages have come together to clean up our cities, neighborhoods, and trails after the long winter on the first Saturday in May. The ERC’s 2024 Clean Sweep will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 9 am-12 pm. Participation is free and easy! In Thai Mainhard’s exhibition "Off the Ground" vibrant, frenetic colors are collaged, painted, and drawn onto canvases that show a sense of composition and experience. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and based in Los Angeles, California, Mainhard’s personal exploration of place seeps into each of her paintings. In her newest body of work Mainhard embraces tangible objects through an exploration of the composed still life. Expressively rendered maximalist spaces are filled with swatches of bright color, checkered table clothes, and patterned vases of loosely rendered botanicals offer a lingering invitation. These composed paintings are the physical embodiment of the artists internal world and life experience, harnessing the tension between chaos and order, figurative composition, and expressive abstraction.

Young and old are sure to enjoy the child in us all when we see J.M. Barrie’s 1904 story come to life through dance. All tickets are $ 10.00 and available in advance at Iconoclast Books, Hailey. The vibrant and pulsating energy of Cinco de Mayo comes alive at the Argyros in Ketchum. The celebration begins at 8p with DJ Juidos. We will have two live bands, Los Rivera and Noches de Reve starting at 9pm. Los Rivera will play an amazing set of Sierreño, Upbeat versions of great classic ranchera songs. You will be dancing nonstop. Noches de Reve will play a mix of Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata, Rock and Latin Pop that will transcend generations. In between live performances, the dynamic and one and only Los Juidos will keep the party going with every rhythm and beat you can imagine. This Cinco de Mayo celebration is not merely an event but a jubilant fusion of heritage, music, and community, where the spirit of Mexican culture reverberates through every note and every dance step.
