Gilman Contemporary's philosophy is simple: art should be thought-provoking, inspirational and resonate in a deeply personal place for our clients. Collectors appreciate the diversity of our artists and have come to find the gallery a place of conversation and discovery. Exhibiting paintings, sculpture and with an emphasis on photography, our artists range from Rodney Smith's whimsical black- and-white photographs to the neo-classical paintings of Hunt Slonem; media paintings by James Verbicky to Nick Brandt's haunting photographs of African wildlife.
Gilman Contemporary has defined its artistic program by including both established and emerging artists who present an innovative process to traditional art forms. The gallery presents both one person and thematic exhibitions of photography, painting and sculpture and has been voted “Best of the Valley” each year since its inception.
