The Wood River Orchestra was formed in 2007 to provide opportunities for local musicians of all ages and abilities to perform orchestral music. The group performs 3 to 4 concerts each year–all of which are free to the public–as well as several informal concerts and special events. The Wood River Orchestra is a nonprofit organization supported solely through donations and grants. The orchestra is led by conductor Brad Hershey, and there are currently 25-30 core musicians who play in the orchestra. Please contact us at info@wrcorchestra.org if you’d like to participate!
Our purpose is to enrich the lives of area residents by providing opportunities to actively perform and enjoy music and to inspire others to experience it as an essential component of daily life.
