Footlight is pleased to celebrate, MANY VOICES – a weaving of professional guest artists from the Boise area, Chicago and beyond who have been touched by dance education with Footlight Dance Centre. Monday – Friday, July 22-26 they will conduct a workshop intensive at the Footlight Studios at the Community Campus, Hailey for ages 10-adult. Three levels will be offered: Advanced, Intermediate and Juniors. On Saturday, July 27, 7:00 pm, these guest artists, and workshop students, including other alumni, will present a performance in celebration of this 40th Anniversary of Footlight Dance Centre. Tickets $10.00 at Iconoclast Books, Hailey and at the Door (WRHS Performing Arts Theater, Community Campus, 1050 Fox Acres, Hailey). Performances by Adrienne Kerr, Principal dancer from Ballet Idaho & Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill from Project Flux (summer faculty with FDC) will dance a duet. Lem Reagan (former FDC alum) and Libby Schmoeger from Idaho Dance Theatre will dance a piece commissioned from choreographer Kaley Pruitt (former FDC alum), Artistic Director of Kaley Pruitt Dance. Join the Wood River Orchestra this Mother's Day for a program of music from modern Hollywood classics, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, James Bond and more! Admission is free as always, and the concert starts at 4pm at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater in the Hailey Community Campus.

Footlight Dance Centre, under the Artistic Direction of Hilarie Neely, presents “PETER PAN", Friday, Saturday, MAY 3-4, 7:00 pm and Sunday, May 5, 2:00 pm, at the WRHS Performing Arts Theater at the Community Campus in Hailey. Young and old are sure to enjoy the child in us all when we see J.M. Barrie’s 1904 story come to life through dance. All tickets are $ 10.00 and available in advance at Iconoclast Books, Hailey. Independent Goods/Ketchum or Hank & Sylie’s in Haiely/Ketchum. Pre sold tickets are encouraged. The performance will include dance genres of ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop and tap techniques that make for a lively show with choreography by instructors Gabi Bryant, Robyn Fox, Shellrae Garnes, Hayley Henderson, Mackenzie King, Melodie Taylor-Mauldin, Bronwyn McGary, Hilarie Neely, Leah Taylor, Kassidy Thompson and Anne Winton. Guest choreographer, Kioa Delos Reyes set the Advanced Hip Hop piece for the show. Footlight in its 40th year, brings programs to children ages’ 4-high school throughout the year at their main studio located in the Community Campus, Hailey with satellite studios at Studio Move & the YMCA in Ketchum, and the Grange Hall, Hailey.

United State Air Force Academy Band The Falconaires’ Free concert at Wood River High School Theater

The Falconaires, the big band of the United States Air Force Academy Band, will present a performance in Hailey, ID at the Wood River High School Theater at Community Campus on April 11, 2024, at 7:00pm. Doors will open at 6:00pm and the show will begin at 7:00pm. This concert is free and open to the public. The Falconaires will be taking the audience on a trip through the pantheon of big band jazz. Performing classics from the golden era of jazz, ala Count Basie and Glenn Miller, all the way through modern day hits like those from the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band and even some originals by Falconaires members. There will be something for everyone. The Falconaires will be traveling through Wyoming, Southern Idaho, Salt Lake City and concluding their 8 engagement tour in Grand Junction, CO before returning home to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The only musical ensemble which can genuinely trace its heritage back to the American military band is the big band.
