Skiing and S’mores at Quigley Trails Park

BCRD Quigley Nordic Trails

Blaine County Recreation District is hosting a free evening of Nordic skiing and s’mores at Quigley Trails Park in Hailey on Friday, February 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  This family-friendly event will feature a campfire with free hot chocolate, s’mores, and beer. The community is invited to bring their Nordic skis and enjoy a moonlit glide on Quigley Trails Park’s groomed ski trails.  During this event, a Nordic pass is not required to ski. Participants are encouraged to bring a headlamp or flashlight if the night is cloudy, as the trails are not lit. To foster a welcoming environment for all, we recommend that dogs are left safely at home during this community event. 

Papoose Club’s Nordic Cup

Fun, Free Nordic Race for Kids! This cross-country event is open to youth aged 3-13 who may race in skate or classic disciplines. This free community event put on by Papoose Club volunteers in partnership with the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s Nordic ski program and the Blaine County Recreation District. The Nordic Cup has been held in the Wood River Valley since 2006. Depending on snow conditions the event is held either in Quigley Canyon in Hailey or Sun Valley Nordic center. VOLUNTEER HERE  

Halloween Hoopla with WRTC & BCRD

It was a cold spring, a wild summer, and a gorgeous fall and we want to celebrate the end of the season with you! The Wood River Trails Coalition is teaming up with the @bcrd for a little Halloween Hoopla! Meet us at the Pump Track Trailhead between 12 -2 PM on Tuesday, October 31 (Halloween) for snacks, drinks, and costumed high fives for all. If it’s dry enough, you can choose to run, ride, or walk on the awesome trails heading out of the parking lot. If the forecast is right, it’ll be sunny and brisk - perfect for a quick lunch adventure in your spookiest finery So don your best Halloween trail-fit, plan for a 45 minute adventure, and stick around to swap stories from your season - we can’t wait to close out this season in spooky style! – Ha sido una primavera fría, un verano salvaje y un otoño precioso, ¡y queremos celebrar el final de la temporada contigo! Quigley Trails Park Pumptrack Challenge

Join us for the Pump Track Challenge, an exciting event exclusively for kids from Pre-K to 6th grade! This competition will test the skills of participants in different age groups. Pre-K to 6th graders will compete for the fastest times on the pump tracks. Mark your calendars for September 16th from 10:00am to 1:00 p.m. at Quigley Trails Park in Hailey. It's an event you won't want to miss, as young riders demonstrate their talent and passion in a thrilling atmosphere. Join us for an afternoon of adrenaline-pumping action!
