This is the premier cross-country race in the Western United States. The Zions Bank Boulder Mountain Tour takes place in Ketchum, Idaho, traditional day, on the first Saturday in February. The Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area. Race distances are 34 kilometers, the Full Boulder, and 15 kilometers, the Charley Course Half Boulder. The field features World Cup-caliber racers to cross-country enthusiasts who embrace the “Tour” aspect of the event. All ages are welcome. Racers are separated by waves, including Elite Men and Elite Women, seeded by previous race times in the BMT or comparable marathon distance races. There are seven waves in the Full Boulder. This year, the in-person race field will be capped at 800 skiers for the Full Boulder and 200 skiers in the Half. Boulder Mountain Tour Ltd. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to organize and promote the Boulder Mountain Tour ski race and to support the sport of cross-country skiing.

Founded in 1997 by Curtis Bacca, The Waxroom brings a level of skill and passion that’s helped athletes win Olympic Golds and World Cups. Curtis has tuned skis and boards for some of the biggest names in the sport—Seth Wescott, Lindsey Jacobellis, Kyle Rasmussen, Daron Rahlves, Tommy Moe and Zach and Reggie Crist, to name a few. In his years on the road, Curtis saw a gap: ski shops weren’t tailoring their services to each skier’s unique needs. He started The Waxroom to do just that. Here, every board and ski gets expert, personal attention, from beginners to pros. Our process starts when you walk in the door. Unlike any other ski shop in the world, we take the time to engage with each customer individually, to find out their abilities, experience, and daily skiing expectations whether beginner or expert. From there, we tailor our tuning to meet your specific needs. We don’t just grab the skis, throw into an automated machine, push some buttons, and tune all skis the same way. The Sun Valley Nordic Center will be open on Thursday November 24th for the 2022-2023 season Discover some of the best cross-country skiing in America, with unmatched trail quality, training programs, clinics, rentals and a state-of-the-art clubhouse for skiers of all levels. With over 40 km of trails groomed daily for skate and classic skiing, the Sun Valley Nordic & Snowshoe Center provides a head-clearing experience. Nordic Skiing Clinics are Back! From aspiring Nordic skiers to those looking to move beyond the basics, our Nordic clinics offer a welcoming environment with world-class trails and picturesque views. Our classic skiing clinics held Sundays in January will focus on the classic stride and glide technique. Those held Sundays in February will focus on the fundamentals. Our skate skiing clinics held Mondays in January will cover the basics. Those held Mondays in February will take you beyond the basics to develop and refine your skills. Galena Lodge & The Trails
Galena Lodge is a day-lodge owned by the Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) on behalf of the community nestled in the heart of the Boulder Mountains 23 miles north of the Sun Valley Resort and Ketchum, Idaho. We’re open daily in the Winter and Summer seasons serving lunch, special dinners, and operating as home base for cross-country skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers. We offer overnight lodging only in our semi-backcountry yurts. Galena Lodge is surrounded by a 47-mile non-motorized single-track trail network that was created through a partnership between BCRD, Galena Lodge and the Sawtooth NRA. The trails are suited for all users including beginner, intermediate and advanced hikers, runners, equestrians and mountain bikers. Summer: Galena Lodge is open for summer operations from mid-June to mid-September, daily 9am – 5pm with lunch served 11am – 3:30pm.
