BCRD Aquatic Center

Open in the summer, the BCRD Aquatics Center offers a newly renovated 25-yard, 6-lane pool and brand new zero-depth entry leisure pool.  Other amenities include a snack bar, a new basketball hoop and climbing wall in the lap pool and log roller in the leisure pool. Scenic Sleigh Rides

Enjoy breathtaking mountain views and snowy landscapes as horses guide you through the valley. Scenic rides are approximately 30 minutes in duration depending on weather conditions. • Available beginning November 28th, 2024 • Sleigh rides run Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 12pm, 1pm, 4pm & 5pm, and Sunday at 10am. • $79 per person plus tax, no charge for 2 and under on a lap • Max 16 people per sleigh • There will be no scenic sleigh rides from December 20th, 2024 – January 4th, 2025 Please arrive at the Sun Valley Inn 10-15 minutes before your reservation, as our rides do go out promptly. Blankets will be provided; however, we do encourage dressing warmly for this experience. Feel free to bring drinks and food—just no glass containers, please. Environmental Resource Center

The Environmental Resource Center (ERC) is a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides education and inspires action to cultivate a healthy environment in the Wood River Valley. In focusing on the following five program areas, the ERC is committed to creating a more sustainable community and environment – the environment upon which our health, well-being, and economy directly depend. Youth Education: hands-on programs that inspire a sense of environmental curiosity in youth and provide them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become the next generation of environmental stewards. Youth programs include in-school and after-school programs; overnight summer camps, and collaborative programs with local partners for public and private school students, grades pre-k to 12. Pesticide Action: This program works to reduce the use of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers in the Wood River Valley. In collaboration with community partners, the ERC’s outreach focuses on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices where non-chemical alternatives are considered first and foremost, and chemicals, when necessary, are used in small quantities and as a last resort.
