The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional snowsports programs for the youth of the Wood River Valley. SVSEF supports the athletic and personal growth of nearly 700 locals, with program offerings ranging from entry-level teams to the professional cross country Gold Team. Athletes ages five and up have the option of participating on alpine, big mountain, cross country freestyle, freeskiing or snowboarding teams, which train year-round.

SVSEF provides year-round ski and snowboard programming for 20% of the Wood River Valley youth. The driving philosophy behind SVSEF is to create a positive, fun and productive environment that inspires each one of our athletes to meet his or her fullest potential. Team members acquire the tools for success, not only in their winter sport, but also in the pursuit of their ultimate goals and dreams. Since 1966, the organization has been a cornerstone institution in our community that exemplifies the Wood River Valley traditions of excellence, good sportsmanship and mountain adventure.
