On Monday October 30 join members the Wood River Orchestra and the Wood River Jewish Community at the WRJC's Lewis Family Center in Elkhorn for an evening of chamber music. WRO musicians will perform two movements of an unfinished string trio by Alexander Borodin, followed by Felix Mendelssohn's Octet for Strings. The venue is at 95 Badeyana Dr. in Elkhorn, and the concert begins at 7pm. Admission is free.
Come and join the Wood River Orchestra for an evening of music by 19th-century Austrian composer Franz Schubert. Works include his renowned Unfinished Symphony, Rosamund Overture, and a smaller scale string quintet. The concert will be held at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater, Community Campus in Hailey, beginning at 4pm. Admission is free, donations are always welcome!
Celebrate the holiday season on December 10th with the Wood River Orchestra at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum. The concert, which begins at 4:00pm and as always is free admission, will feature a program of holiday favorites guaranteed to ring in the season of good cheer. From 3:00pm in the foyer of the Argyros there will be a silent auction of fun and unique items, with proceeds going to support the orchestra. Admission is free as always, and the concert starts at 4pm at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater in the Hailey Community Campus.
Join members of the Wood River Orchestra for an evening of chamber music hosted by the Wood River Jewish Community. The program includes three flute quintets by Luigi Boccherini, a contemporary work by Charlton Singleton titled "Testimony", composed for the Kronos Quartet's 50 for the Future initiative, and Antonín Dvořák's "American" quartet. The performance begins at 7pm at the Lewis Family Center, 95 Badayana Drive, in Elkhorn. Admission is free but please register attendance by emailing eryn@wrjc.org.
