Spend a day in someone else’s skis! All levels and abilities are welcome to enter.  The Adaptive experience will begin with training to ski as someone with a disability would, followed by a friendly race testing your new skills, and the opportunity to have a “celebrity” HG participant join your team. End the day with awards and après to benefit and celebrate Higher Ground’s winter programs.Kickoff cocktail party and band on Saturday, March 9th at Whiskey’s on Main! Fun, Free, Informative Bike Safety Activities for the Whole Family Mark your calendars for the 13th annual Bike Rodeo, presented by the Ketchum Police Department in Partnership with Higher Ground. The event takes place Saturday, June 1 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the YMCA South Parking Lot. Activities include rider safety and obstacle courses; bike decorating, safety checks, and helmet fittings; and snacks and prizes. Activities include: free rider safety course; free bike safety check by area bike shops; free helmet fitting (free helmets available to anyone who needs one); bike decorating; Ketchum Police obstacle course; and free prizes and healthy snacks. Full Circle: A Higher Ground Screening – The Liberty Theater

Higher Ground, a local Wood River Valley nonprofit for outdoor recreational therapy, is excited to host a screening of Full Circle, a moving documentary about two adaptive athletes—Trevor and Barry—whose lives, though separated by decades, mirror each other in resilience and determination. Both men faced life-changing spinal cord injuries but found ways to thrive, transforming obstacles into achievements.
