On Wednesdays beginning March 18, Whiskey’s on Main in Ketchum will host dance from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by open dance from 7 to 9 p.m., with highly acclaimed ballroom coach and internationally recognized professional Latin Champion Vasily Golovin.

Lessons are $40, payable in cash or by check, and include one drink ticket. A sign-up sheet will be available at Whiskey’s on Main, and guests can purchase additional one-on-one dance instruction beyond Wednesdays. Dancers interested in private lessons can purchase a packet of three during the initial period at a reduced rate. Whiskey’s on Main is providing a space for group sessions, open dancing and private lessons.

Leading the Wednesdays at Whiskey’s: Lessons & Libations group lessons will be taught by dance coach Vasily Golovin, who co-produced the successful 2025 Sun Valley Ballroom’s event. Golovin teaches at the Idaho Ballroom Dance Center in Boise and also travels to Ketchum weekly to teach classes at Studio Move.

About Golovin Dance Studio

Based in Boise, Golovin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and began training at age nine with some of the world’s top ballroom coaches. He has competed internationally for more than 20 years and has won various titles, including Russian National Champion, European Champion and Latin World Champion. Golovin has won the Top Teaching award in several California competitions and is among the most highly acclaimed ballroom coaches in the state. He and his wife Alexis visited Idaho on vacation and fell in love with the state, moving here in 2023.
