Artist Talk on Saturday, August 15h from 4:00-5:00pm
Color, rhythm, and expressive line take center stage in the mixed-media works of artist Sally King Benedict. Known for her unmistakable visual language, Benedict’s work pulses with energy—layered patterns, bold palettes, and abstracted faces that feel at once spontaneous and deeply intentional. Originally from Atlanta and now based in Ketchum, Benedict has earned national recognition for her distinctive style, with work featured in Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Domino, and Southern Living.
Join us on Saturday, August 12th for a special talk with the artist for a more in-depth look at her latest exhibition, “Frequency of Seeing.” With her latest exhibition, Benedict explores perception as an emotional experience. Inspired by her daughter’s heightened sensitivity to light, color, and pattern, the new work incorporates silver and gold leaf that shifts with changing light, encouraging viewers to slow down and engage with each painting from multiple perspectives. The exhibition celebrates the beauty of attentive looking and the ever-changing relationship between artwork, light, and observer.
