The Spot has been a home for new work since it began and we have decided to make our commitment to emerging theater artists official. Welcome to THE GARAGE: Artist’s Incubator @ The Spot. Where do all the best ideas start? In garages! In our case, we’ve doubled down on that model. We’ve been producing and inviting audiences into ours since 2014.The Artist’s Incubator is different though. We have created a one of a kind artistic residency program in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, designed to allow theater artists the space (literally and figuratively) and resources necessary to develop their WIP’s. We are incredibly excited to announce the inaugural artist at THE GARAGE is accomplished, Brooklyn-based playwright and actress, ABBY ROSEBROCK.
Spot audiences will remember her work from 2017 when we produced the western premiere of Abby’s DIDO OF IDAHO.

Abby Rosebrock is a Brooklyn-based writer and actress from South Carolina. She is the author of SINGLES IN AGRICULTURE, DIDO OF IDAHO, BLUE RIDGE, WILMA, DIFFERENT ANIMALS, NO ONE IS HOME, and more. Her plays have been produced and developed throughout New York City and in venues across the US. An alumna of emerging writers’ groups at Ensemble Studio Theatre and Clubbed Thumb, she has been commissioned by Atlantic Theater, Manhattan Theater Club, Williamstown, EST/Sloan Foundation, Bristol Riverside Theatre, and Montana Rep. | more: www.abbyrosebrock.com
