Beginning with a tipi raising in front of the library by members of the Northern Shoshone Bannock Tribe. Following the raising, attendees will get to see free showings of the historical western film “Chief Tendoy” and the documentary “In Good Faith.” A discussion following the films will feature Leo Arriwite, a traditional northern Shoshoni from Salmon, Idaho, and a keeper of tribal oral history. Leo served as a tribal law enforcement officer for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs before serving as the chief of police for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Indian Reservation in Washington.
