Sturtenvant’s Standhope Ultra Challenge

A very difficult and exceptionally beautiful run through the Pioneer Mountains. Entrants will reach a high point of 11,000' during the course of the race. Entry should NOT be taken lightly. This race is an excellent trainer for any high-altitude 50 or 100 Miler. Runners will receive a unique award for finishing this event.

Showcasing six outstanding private landscapes in north valley neighborhoods, this always popular curation of cultivation is not to be missed. Grab your parasol, floppy hat, and breezy garden strolling attire and enjoy the fruits of these passionate gardeners as they open their lovely landscapes for our viewing pleasure. Tickets are $35/$40 for SBG members/non members and ticket prices increase by $5 on Thursday, July 25. ***Please note: your name will be placed on a roster, nothing will be mailed to you. Your physical ticket is a special bandana that you'll be able to pick up at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden two weeks prior to the event or the day of at the first garden you visit. Join us for an all-day rock showdown at the Liberty Theater in Hailey, ID, where 14 acts and 40+ musicians will battle it out for two amazing prizes! Each band will compete for the Audience Favorite who wins a coveted spot at the 2025 Sawtooth Valley Gathering Festival in Stanley, ID and the Judge's Panel Winner who will win recording time at The Tonic Room Recording and Mastering Studio in Boise, ID. The prizes don’t stop there! Each band will be competing on behalf of a chosen non-profit, and if they win, their non-profit receives a $1000 donation! 13th Annual Empty Bowls

Big Wood School/ Church of the Big Wood

Blaine County Charitable Fund, Boulder Mountain Clayworks and the Church of the Big Wood are presenting the annual Empty Bowls event February 2nd from 11 am – 2 pm at the Church of the Big Wood. The event benefits BCCF’s emergency financial assistance programs. The event is sponsored by Blaine County Title, Windemere Real Estate, McLaughlin & Associates Architects, Blaine County Democrats, CK’s Real Food, Top Notch Fine Furnishing, Wood River Catholic Inclusive Community. During the event, guests purchase locally made ceramic bowls for $25 per bowl when registered in advance, then fill the bowl with scratch-made soups, salads, chili, bread, and dessert donated by local chefs and caterers. Thanks to Boulder Mountain Clayworks, there will be more than 300 hand-crafted and hand-painted bowls from local artisans to select from this year. Empty Bowls will feature dishes from local restaurants and caterers including: Atkinsons' Market, Bigwood Bread Bakery and Cafe, The Chocolate Moose, CK's Real Food, The Covey, Galena Lodge, Hunger Coalition, The Ketchum Grill, Limelight Hotel, Nourish Me, Rasberrys Catering & Bistro, Sawtooth Brewery, Sun Valley Resort, Warfield Distillery & Brewery, and more.
