The annual Halloween Hoopla is on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., kids in costumes will roam Hailey’s Main Street and participating businesses will give out candy! Look for the orange and black balloons. The Kiwanis of Wood River Valley will be hosting a costume contest at Hailey Town Square! Thank you to Jane’s Artifacts and Hailey Grocery Outlet for helping sponsor this fun community event!

Ghouls & Goblins Gather! Join us in the first annual “Trick-or-Treat on Main Street…& Beyond" in downtown Ketchum. This FREE and family friendly event will take place on HALLOWEEN from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Festive trick-or-treaters will venture up, down , and around downtown Ketchum visiting local businesses as they pass out candy. Starting at Whiskey’s on Main, guests will be given a list of participating businesses to visit. Whiskey’s will be serving festive “adult “ beverages, from their mobile bar accompanied by games and activities. Play, create, discover, and have fun! Afternoon Art is a free drop-in opportunity for community members of all ages to explore concepts from the Museum's current exhibition and create works of art. Families and friends are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together. Perfect for art lovers, curious minds, and anyone seeking inspiration. Projects will vary. Saturdays, November 2 – April 5, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm Co-work with a community of writers the first Saturday of each month for focused writing and craft discussions and connect to other writers from the Wood River Valley and beyond! All writing abilities and ages welcome. Join us in The Community Library’s Idaho Room, or online via Zoom. The Wood River Writers’ Groups are led by AJ Super, a local author with a trilogy of science fiction books published by a small traditional press. She is also a Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Association (SFWA) member.

Ballet Idaho is thrilled to be presenting an anthology of work at The Argyros this November. The program will be stylistically diverse and provide an intimate showcase for the artistry and athleticism of Ballet Idaho’s dancers. Congruence was jointly choreographed by Anne Mueller and Garrett Anderson, set to the music of Chicago-based composer, Marc Mellits. This piece is an exploration of creative synergy and collaboration between two choreographers, the talented performers, and Mellits’ nuanced musical phrasing. Terrance Marling’s Twice (Once) is set to the gorgeous music of contemporary composer Anna Clyne’s Within Her Arms. This is a subtle yet stirring piece that contemplates the afterlife, drawn from personal experiences of both composer and choreographer. Clyne wrote this piece of music honoring the passing of her mother, and Marling’s response drew upon his own near-death experience as a child. While the inspiration explores images of mortality and afterlife, this work is an uplifting and poignant abstraction of the human spirit. Danielle Rowe created For Pixie, inspired by the life and love of her own grandparents. In this powerful duet to the music of Nina Simone’s Wild is the Wind, Rowe explores the emotional interdependence between two lifelong companions embodied in captivating ...
Celebrate Fall with the Wood River Orchestra! On Sunday November 3 the WRO presents a program including an orchestral arrangement of the classic song "Autumn Leaves" and Mendelssohn's 5th Symphony, the "Reformation". The concert will be held at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater in the Community Campus in Hailey, beginning at 4pm. Admission is free.
