Over 300 miles of rivers in the Owyhee Canyonlands are protected under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Protected river sections include the famous Jarbidge, Bruneau and Owyhee rivers. The best way to celebrate the Owyhee Canyonlands is to float one of the Wild and Scenic Rivers! The second best way to celebrate is to join us at this upcoming event. John Robison, Idaho Conservation League’s public lands director, will provide an overview of the Owyhee Canyonlands, describe the character of different river stretches, and offer logistics advice for planning your own adventures. John will also describe the Owyhee Initiative’s collaborative approach to crafting these protections.

Friedman Memorial Airport (KSUN) will be hosting a TSA PreCheck® enrollment event in collaboration with IDEMIA, a TSA PreCheck® authorized enrollment provider. Travelers will be able to enroll at the TSA pop-up enrollment center located in the airport’s south terminal lounge area, 1616 Airport Cir., Hailey Idaho.  The enrollment event runs from Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 8. Daily hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1 – 5 p.m. The program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents. The enrollment process is quick, convenient and even faster when the application is completed online beforehand. The in-person enrollment requires that applicants provide proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints and a photo . Join us for a complimentary Bald Mountain Tour, offered every Monday, Wednesday & Friday throughout the winter season. Tours meet at 9:30am in the Mountain View Room at River Run Lodge and are guided by one of the friendly members of our Mountain Guest Services team (yellow coats). They will guide you around Bald Mountain’s vast terrain, share where the best skiing and riding is and wow you with some amazing historical facts about Sun Valley. Tours are open for all ski levels.
