Higher Ground’s 2nd Annual Muffy Davis Cup

Spend a day in someone else’s skis! All levels and abilities are welcome to enter.  The Adaptive experience will begin with training to ski as someone with a disability would, followed by a friendly race testing your new skills, and the opportunity to have a “celebrity” HG participant join your team. End the day with awards and après to benefit and celebrate Higher Ground’s winter programs.Kickoff cocktail party and band on Saturday, March 9th at Whiskey’s on Main! Review and select a sponsorship level, create a team of 5 and we’ll see you on the snow for a fun- and adaptive-filled day! River Run Lodge

Join us for a complimentary Bald Mountain Tour, offered every Monday, Wednesday & Friday throughout the winter season. Tours meet at 9:30am in the Mountain View Room at River Run Lodge and are guided by one of the friendly members of our Mountain Guest Services team (yellow coats). They will guide you around Bald Mountain’s vast terrain, share where the best skiing and riding is and wow you with some amazing historical facts about Sun Valley. Tours are open for all ski levels.

Neighborly Spanish is a free, 8-week class taught on Mondays from noon-1:30 PM by retired local Spanish teacher Jim King. The class will offer basic Spanish language skills seasoned with a little history and culture. Enrollment limited to 20. Classes are on Mondays, starting January 22 through March 18. The tour lasts a pleasant hour while skiing the mountain making three stops for the ranger to give his talk. Topics covered include a wealth of interesting information about local history, geography, geology, the Bald Mountain Stewardship program, expansion plans and local public lands.
