At NourishMe, a light filled store on Main Street in Ketchum, Idaho customers can find everything from organic seasonal produce, locally made and grown foods, bulk seeds, nuts and fruits as well as a wide variety of supplements, wellness products, gluten-free foods and organic cosmetics. Join us every Tuesday 1:30 - 5:30pm - we host Waterwheel Gardens from Emmett. Currently, they are offering a killer apple cider and grape juice, along with their jams, dried fruits and a variety of Fall harvest vegetables. We also get weekly deliveries of raw cow milk, raw goat milk, and yogurt. NourishMe creates daily, nutrient-rich, organic, deli-style foods to go or eat in. Try our ever popular grilled sandwiches and daily soups.

Ernest Hemingway’s Best Friend: Introducing General Buck Lanham

The Community Library

Writers-in-Residence at the Hemingway House, Greer Rising and Eileen Martin will discuss private letters from U.S. Army General Buck Lanham to Greer’s family, and what they tell us about Ernest Hemingway and his art. Lanham and Hemingway sealed their friendship on World War II battlefields and remained friends until Hemingway’s death in 1961. The personal collection illuminates Lanham’s life and helps decipher coded references that he and Hemingway shared. The Lanhams and the Risings corresponded for much of the 20th century, and Hemingway and Lanham wrote each other at least twice a month for 17 years - hundreds of letters. The presentation will focus on Hemingway and Lanham as intellectual equals, with themes of love, war and literature underpinning their friendship. Lanham’s influence on Hemingway’s writing is stronger than previously known: the writer modeled the protagonist in his novel Across the River and Into the Trees after Lanham’s life, and borrowed from Lanham’s volatile marriage for his novel The Garden of Eden, published in 1986. Two of Hemingway’s posthumously-published short stories mention Buck Lanham and relate battlefield anecdotes from time with Lanham’s unit. The Hailey Public Library celebrates Native American Heritage Month with an award winning coming-of-age comedy-drama recognized as the first feature-length film written, directed and produced by Native Americans. Filmed in part on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation in Idaho, the film follows two Indigenous youth on a road trip to recover the ashes of one boy’s adoptive father. Known for its mix of poignancy and off the wall humor, the film won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award in 1998. Rated PG-13. How and Why AI Matter Now and in the Future

For years, artificial intelligence (AI) was one of two things: either in your Alexa or planning to take over the world. The reality is that AI can be a partner in your daily life. But where do we even start thinking about it that way? Join tech guru Paul Zimmerman as we explore what AI is, the different options and how to prompt them, how it fits our lives, the ethics behind AI, and answers to your questions. Paul Zimmerman is Director of Technology for the Blaine County School District. In that role, he has spearheaded innovative projects and worked with outside partners, such as Google and Nintendo, to bring new ideas to the district. He earned a Bachelor's of Science of Leadership from Bellevue University followed by a Master's Degree in Leadership. He is currently enrolled in a Human Capital Management PhD program. Paul was in the United States Air Force in the early 2000s now lives in Hailey, Idaho. He has also led bi-monthly Tech Help Desks at The Community Library since 2009.
