Tennis camp is coming to Gravity! Gravity has partnered with Wood River Tennis to offer a special Winter Tennis Camp for women rated 3.5-4.5. Three visiting tennis professionals associated with Newcombe Tennis Ranch in Texas will serve up 12 HOURS of doubles strategy, tactics, court and net positioning, plus “Chalk Talk”, coach’s feedback and more. Wood River Writers’ Focused Writing Group

Saturdays, November 2 – April 5, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm Co-work with a community of writers the first Saturday of each month for focused writing and craft discussions and connect to other writers from the Wood River Valley and beyond! All writing abilities and ages welcome. Join us in The Community Library’s Idaho Room, or online via Zoom. The Wood River Writers’ Groups are led by AJ Super, a local author with a trilogy of science fiction books published by a small traditional press. She is also a Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Association (SFWA) member.

Book Signing with Author and Illustrator Nathan Hale

Join us for an afternoon with author and illustrator Nathan Hale, who will be signing books and meeting with young readers in the Library's Lecture Hall. Nathan's beloved graphic novels make old stories seem new and strange, featuring mutant killer tacos, Rapunzel in the Old West, and the Pied Piper in a desolate post-apocalyptic landscape. His celebrated "Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales" are thrilling, daring, and downright gruesome stories from American history, in graphic novel form. Books will be available for sale from Iconoclast Books. Registration recommended. Nathan Hale is the author and illustrator of the Eisner-nominated, New York Times bestselling graphic novel series on American history Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales. He also created the sci-fi horror comics ONE TRICK PONY and APOCALYPSE TACO. He is the illustrator of the graphic novel RAPUNZEL’S REVENGE and its sequel, CALAMITY JACK.
