Join us for a complimentary Bald Mountain Tour, offered every Monday, Wednesday & Friday throughout the winter season. Tours meet at 9:30am in the Mountain View Room at River Run Lodge and are guided by one of the friendly members of our Mountain Guest Services team (yellow coats). They will guide you around Bald Mountain’s vast terrain, share where the best skiing and riding is and wow you with some amazing historical facts about Sun Valley. Tours are open for all ski levels.

Hosting Hawaiian Nationals on Saturday, 3/30 at Warm Springs. One of the largest telemark race and demo events in the country. 80-100 racers. Free telemark demos from 22 Designs and Bishop both Saturday and Sunday. DJ Locomotive. Mega Raffle. 9-10am Registration. 11am Racing. 2:30pm Awards and Raffle.

Dollar Dayz Pond Skim

Don’t miss the “Cold Bowl Pond Skim” on Dollar’s final day, Sunday, March31st kicking off at 10am. Participants will try to make it across the pond on their skis or snowboard – in full costume! Wear your best Hawaiian or tropical-themed costume and come ready to enjoy BBQ, a family scavenger hunt, and lots of laughs! Pre-registration is required for pondskim participants. Blaine County Recreation District is hosting a free family-friendly event at Quigley Trails Park in Hailey on Wednesday, May 1st. Everyone is encouraged to bring their bikes and enjoy Quigley Trails Park's flow trails, jump lines, and skills park or take a hike on our trails!  BCRD welcomes all ages and abilities on this free community event.  BCRD is offering free tacos, provided by KB’s, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, and s’mores around the campfire. To foster a welcoming environment for all, we recommend that dogs are left safely at home during May Day Play Day.

2024 is SBG’s 20th year Wildflower Walks! Join us walking slowly on nearby moderate to easy trails as we appreciate the blooming native plants of our area. Walks will be led by botanists, naturalists, birders, and wildflower enthusiasts. Meet at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (11 Gimlet Road, 4 miles south of Ketchum), and follow each other or carpool to the trailhead. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult. No dogs please! Bring clothing for possible weather, hiking shoes (no flip fops or dress shoes), sun protection, plenty of water, reusable water bottle and a lunch. A camera, field guide, binoculars and notebook may help with identifying and remembering plants. HALF MARATHON, 10K AND 5K – SATURDAY, MAY 25, 2024 AT REDFISH LAKE LODGE Redfish Lake Lodge is excited to host the 14th annual Redfish Lake Lodge Memorial Run, a U.S.F.S. permitted event. Thank you to all of last year’s participants! Kid’s 1 mile race will begin at 9:30 AM (Ages 3 – 10). Half Marathon begins at 10:00 AM. 10K beings at 10:30 AM. 5K begins at 11:00 AM.    All races will begin and end at the Lodge. There will be a delicious pre-race meal at the event area on Friday at from 6-8pm (adults: $18 /children 12-6: $9.50 / under 5: free) The Half Marathon and 10K course will be on paved, gravel, and trail surfaces. Bluefish event will take place at high Noon. Packet pickup will be on Friday, May 24 from 4-8pm and on Saturday, May 25th from 8-9:30am in front of the lodge. The post-race meal is included in the registration for all athletes. Family and friends can enjoy the post-race meal for Veggie Wraps $12.00 and  $14.00 for Chicken and Salmon Wraps. Each Girls on the Run season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Fun, Free, Informative Bike Safety Activities for the Whole Family Mark your calendars for the 13th annual Bike Rodeo, presented by the Ketchum Police Department in Partnership with Higher Ground. The event takes place Saturday, June 1 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the YMCA South Parking Lot. Activities include rider safety and obstacle courses; bike decorating, safety checks, and helmet fittings; and snacks and prizes. Activities include: free rider safety course; free bike safety check by area bike shops; free helmet fitting (free helmets available to anyone who needs one); bike decorating; Ketchum Police obstacle course; and free prizes and healthy snacks.
