THE SPOT PRESENTS
OCTOBER 30 – NOV 3
EVERY BRILLIANT THING
by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe
Limited Run: October 30th – November 3rd
Directed by and Starring: Brett Moellenberg
“One of the funniest plays you’ll ever see about depression–and possibly one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see.” (The Guardian UK)
A touching and hopeful coming of age story, Every Brilliant Thing reminds us to be grateful for the little things, and for each other. After an incident where mom has “done something stupid,” the storyteller begins a list of everything brilliant thing about the world. Everything worth living for.
1. Ice cream.
2. Kung Fu movies.
3. Burning things.
4. Laughing so hard you shoot milk out your nose…
Uplifting, funny, and universal, the story explores depression and hope, uncertainty and change, heartbreak and anger, guilt and forgiveness. The play interweaves the help of audience members to tell the story and shows the lengths we will go for those we love.
