About Camp Rainbow Gold
Childhood cancer is tough. It’s scary, serious and exhausting. But all challenges—including this one—are better if they’re not approached alone. That’s where Camp Rainbow Gold comes in.
Camp Rainbow Gold provides emotionally empowering experiences for Idaho’s children diagnosed with cancer and their families. It is an independent nonprofit organization based in Boise, Idaho, with a satellite location in Ketchum, Idaho.
It’s More than a Week of Camp
What started in the mid-’80s as a week of summer camp for a handful of children diagnosed with cancer is now much, much more. Yes, Camp Rainbow Gold is still a summer oncology camp, but it’s also sibling camps and family retreats. It’s a college scholarship program and a teen support group. It’s 365 days of making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer, as well as their families and others who support them.
Camp Rainbow Gold also recognizes that cancer is expensive. That’s why absolutely all events, services, activities and programs are free, funded by generous donations and volunteer hours from community members, foundations and businesses.
Camp Rainbow Gold is love, hope and fun. Camp Rainbow Gold is a celebration of life.
