Join the Sawtooth Fire Collaborative in Stanley on Friday, October 2^nd at 4:00 pm for a free public event! Hear from the new US Wildland Fire Service (USWFS) and Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). Ed Christopher, USWFS Division Chief for Pre & Post-Wildfire Mitigation and Education, will speak about federal firefighting priorities. Travis Hire, Emergency Manager for ITD, will speak about how ITD responded to the Wapiti fire and its aftermath, including the recent flash floods and landslides.
