FREE EVENING EXHIBITION TOUR: “Clay, Silver, Ink: Sun Valley Center at 50”

Sun Valley Museum of Art (SVMoA) invites the community to attend a free evening exhibition tour of its current visual arts exhibition, “Clay, Silver, Ink: Sun Valley Center at 50,” (April 28–July 31, 2021) on Thursday, June 17, 2021. The event will take place at The Museum in Ketchum and will consist of two separate tours, the first at 4:30 and the second at 5:30 p.m., pre-registration required, space is limited. An upcoming exhibition tour is scheduled for Thursday, July 8, at 4:30 & 5:30 p.m. The exhibition is guest-curated by artists Jim Romberg, Sun Valley Center for the Arts’ Director of Ceramics from 1973 to 1986, and Peter de Lory, who began teaching in 1974 and was Director of Photography from 1976 to 1979 and during the summers of 1982 and 1983. “It’s remarkable to see this history compiled,” said SVMoA Artistic Director Kristin Poole. “The exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on the role our organization played in launching the careers of dozens of artists and to trace the history of the organization itself, from a teaching institution to an accredited museum.” “Clay, Silver, Ink” will be on view at The Museum in Ketchum through July 31, 2020.
