Pre-Show 3:00 PM. Party Kick Off 4:15 PM The U.S Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame returns once again to the Historic, Sun Valley Idaho for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The Party on The Hill will be a jam session of competitors showing off their stuff. From the Sun Valley superstars of tomorrow, to Olympic Champions both past and present in all of the winter ski sport disciplines. Ski Racing, Freestyle Skiing, Big Air, Terrain Park performers, Ballet skiing performances, and even a Speed Skiing demonstration from skiing’s fastest man in the world, with a record speed of 156.4 mph will be on display. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Retro Dressed ski outfit. Don’t Miss This One! Guests are encouraged to wear their best Hawaiian-themed flair and participate in the on-mountain scavenger hunt, giveaways, and outdoor BBQ and bar on both Saturday March 26 and Sunday March 27. Don’t miss the return of the “Cold Bowl Pond Skim” on Dollar’s final day, Sunday, March 27th kicking off at 10am. Participants will try to make it across the pond on their skis or snowboard – in full costume! The crazier, the better. Advanced registration will open on March 23 and spaces are limited. Prizes and giveaways will be awarded. An outdoor barbeque and a live D.J. will add to the tropical spring vibe! Overflow parking for the weekend festivities will be available in the Pavilion Lot with shuttle access directly to Dollar Lodge. Started by the original founders back in 1957, this fun ski and snow board event is for non-sanctioned racers ages 3 to 12. It is held at Sun Valley’s Dollar Mountain in the spring, usually in March. The event attracts up to 250 skiers who all earn commemorative pins. The Olympic gold medal winner Picabo Street was a Kindercup champion! Other famous Sun Valley area skiers to have been past Kindercup champions include: Langely McNeal, Graham Watanabe, Wyatt Caldwell and more!
