Volcanoes and massive underground reservoirs of magma created many of the rocks in the Wood River area.

Join Dr. Paul Link of Idaho State University for a morning lecture and afternoon roadside field trip where you’ll explore these dramatic episodes and see their remains. Dr. Link will also delve into forces that gripped the region’s rocks and shaped them into the beautiful mountain landscapes we enjoy today.

This full-day class is limited to 20 students. Pre-registration is required.
