Kevin Lavelle, the Library’s Hemingway Writer-In-Residence for November, will share some of his work from his time in residency at the historic Ernest and Mary Hemingway House. During his residency, Kevin will be working on the darkly comic novel “Sunset And Time.” When a brokenhearted Empathic Therapist’s grief stops time, a combative hummingbird guides him through his past lives to stop a hateful geologist from turning the world’s love to stone.

He will discuss his writing process with the community and invite your questions on the writing and creative life.

Kevin Lavelle is a screen and fiction writer living in Los Angeles. A native of Ireland, his writing includes a psychological thriller, a horror and a young adult/fantasy. Dark magical realism with heart is his arena, whatever the genre. He is currently at work on a novel. Lavelle is the inaugural recipient of the Writing by Writers Hemingway House residency with The Community Library.
