BCRD Community Levy Presentation
Join us at 5:30pm on Tuesday, April 29 at The Community Library in Ketchum. This event is your opportunity to learn more about the proposed levy, ask questions, and help shape the future of recreation in Blaine County.
The Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) is proposing a permanent override levy that would provide long-term funding to maintain its recreation resources and plan for the future. The levy would provide an additional $3 million in tax funds for BCRD’s use. Blaine County voters will decide on November 4.

What’s the Challenge?
Since BCRD’s founding in 1976, Blaine County’s population has tripled, increasing the use and demand for our programs and facilities. Yet our funding model has not changed. With rising demands and increasing operational costs, our current funding is no longer keeping pace. Additional investment is critical to sustaining and expanding these essential recreational resources.
BCRD’s current funding model is challenged to keep up with growing community needs and operational expenses. Without sustainable funding, BCRD will have to make tradeoffs or cut programs and resources that serve the community.
