Many know about the story of the 52 Americans who were held hostage for 444 days in Tehran after militants stormed the U.S. embassy in November 1979. Register to save your seat. This program will be in-person only and will not be livestreamed or archived.

Jonna Mendez, current Hemingway Writer-In-Residence and the former Chief of Disguise at the CIA and a 27-year CIA employee, will share clips from the film and recount the behind-the-scenes story of ARGO – both the operation itself and the making of the movie (and the writing of the book). Both Antonio and Jonna Mendez were career employees of the CIA’s “Q”, supporting covert operations around the world.
