After the Hailey July 4th Parade continue the Independence Day celebration at the Hop Porter Park with the Riverfest. Live Music starts at 1pm with food trucks, a beer garden, snowcones, bouncy house and featuring Jeff Crosby at 2:30pm!Check out vintage cars from Bennyz Hot Rods while sipping on a cold beer from Sawtooth Brewery.Bring your families!

Morning Volunteer Event @ Curly’s with Wood River Trails Coalition

Join Wood River Trails Coalition for a morning work event on the iconic Curly's Trail! Where: Curly’s When: Tuesday, August 20th 9 AM- 11:30 AM Difficulty: Moderate Project Description: Come out and join us for a morning event at Curly’s. We will be cleaning out some drainage features that need some work on the bottom section. This is a great opportunity to learn about how water effects our trails and how we mitigate that. What to bring/wear: Closed toe/ankle supporting shoes and pants will be required. We recommend bringing your own eye protection/sunglasses, work gloves and sunscreen. A small pack is nice to have for water, layers and a snack. No dogs please. What we will provide: Tools, required PPE available for use: hard hats, eye protection, gloves etc. Bike helmets are not an appropriate substitute. Snakes of Blaine County – talk and exhibit

Learn about the many fascinating snakes of our area when the Hailey Public Library hosts Dr. Charles R. Peterson, an Emeritus Professor of Zoology at Idaho State University and Affiliate Curator of Herpetology for the Idaho Museum of Natural History. Using place-based photography, Dr. Peterson will share his appreciation of snakes and why their conservation is so important. He will bring a live Great Basin Rattlesnake. His talk accompanies an exhibit by the same name recently installed on the library’s Mallory Wall. Held from 5:30-7:00 PM on Friday, October 11, at Town Center West, 116 S River. Greenhorn Native Planting Evening

Join us in the beautiful fall light for two hours of planting native species along the iconic, newly re-routed & improved Greenhorn/Imperial trail system! Where: Greenhorn Gulch - between Hailey & Ketchum - at the end of Greenhorn Road west of hwy 75. When: Tuesday, October 15th 5:15 PM- 7:30 PM Difficulty: Easy Project Description: This event will be focused on re-planting the back slope around the new Greenhorn and Imperial trails! Come on out and help us replenish the native plant population. What to bring/wear: Closed toe/ankle supporting shoes and pants will be required. We recommend bringing your own eye protection/sunglasses, work gloves and sunscreen. A small pack is nice to have for water, layers and a snack. No dogs please. BCRD Ski Free Days

Wood River Trail

BCRD welcomes the community to enjoy free Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on all BCRD winter trails. The 32-kilometer multi-use Wood River Trail, which runs from Ketchum to Bellevue, is always free. The Wood River Trail is groomed every other day and is open to skiers, walkers, dogs, and fat-bikes. The Ski Free Days for the 2024/25 season are: Saturday, December 14 Sunday, January 12 Saturday, February 22
