Wood River Orchestra Fall Concert

Celebrate Fall with the Wood River Orchestra! On Sunday November 3 the WRO presents a program including an orchestral arrangement of the classic song "Autumn Leaves" and Mendelssohn's 5th Symphony, the "Reformation". The concert will be held at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater in the Community Campus in Hailey, beginning at 4pm. Admission is free.

Join us every Tuesday 1:30 - 5:30pm - we host Waterwheel Gardens from Emmett. Currently, they are offering a killer apple cider and grape juice, along with their jams, dried fruits and a variety of Fall harvest vegetables. We also get weekly deliveries of raw cow milk, raw goat milk, and yogurt. NourishMe creates daily, nutrient-rich, organic, deli-style foods to go or eat in. This in-person gathering is your opportunity to meet and learn from experts about the best ways to protect the finances of you and your loved ones from fraud and criminal actors. Whether you're a business owner, investor, caregiver, or simply interested in protecting your personal assets, this event is for you. The presentation will be followed by a meet and greet with the experts. Light refreshments are included, and door-raffle prizes will be available.

Visit Sun Valley invites you to our Community Shindig on Thursday, November 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Whiskey's on Main in Ketchum. Our team will provide a short presentation including a review of the summer season, what to expect this upcoming winter season, and guest speakers will talk about the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals and 5850 Fest. The presentation starts at 5:15pm. Afterwards stay around for networking. This event is free to attend. Appetizers and a drink ticket per person will be provided.

An Evening with Adam Johnson

Join us for an evening with Adam Johnson, author of National Book Award-winning "Fortune Smiles," and Pulitzer Prize-winning "The Orphan Master's Son," among other titles. Johnson is a Professor of English with emphasis in creative writing at Stanford University. He is the winner of a Whiting Award and Fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and the American Academy in Berlin. His stories have appeared in Esquire, GQ, Playboy, Harper's Magazine, Granta, The Paris Review, The Best American Short Stories, The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy and have been recognized with the Story Prize, The Sunday Times Short Story Award and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. His work has been translated into more than three-dozen languages. He was born in South Dakota and is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. His teaching and research interests include the development of the novel, indigeneity, the oral tradition, counter narrative, trauma theory and speculative fiction. Play, create, discover, and have fun! Afternoon Art is a free drop-in opportunity for community members of all ages to explore concepts from the Museum's current exhibition and create works of art. Families and friends are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together. Perfect for art lovers, curious minds, and anyone seeking inspiration. Projects will vary. Age & Ability: all ages, families encouraged to attend together Hailey Afternoon Art runs from 1:30–4:30pm at SVMoA's Hailey Classroom. Afternoon Art is offered in Ketchum on the first Friday of each month and in Hailey on the second Friday from 1:30-4:30pm and are recommended for families with children of all ages.
