50th Zions Bank Boulder Mountain Tour @ Various Locations

The 50th annual Zions Bank Boulder Mountain Tour will take place in Ketchum, Idaho, on its traditional day, the first Saturday in February, falling in 2023 on February 4. The premier cross country race in the Western United States, the Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area. Race distances are 34 kilometers, the Full Boulder, and 15 kilometers, the Charley Course Half Boulder. The field features World Cup-caliber racers to cross country enthusiasts who embrace the “Tour” aspect of the event. All ages are welcome. Racers are separated by waves, including Elite Men, Elite Women, seeded by previous race times in the BMT or comparable marathon distance races. There are seven waves in the Full Boulder. This year, the in-person race field will be capped at 800 skiers for the Full Boulder, and 200 skiers in the Half. Entry fee includes official 2023 BMT SWIX race hat, 50th anniversary souvenir racing bib, race bag, event program, sponsored goods, a raffle ticket, race shuttles, post-race and on-course food and beverages, awards party, plus the opportunity to win amazing raffle prizes from our amazing event sponsors. Returning for its 12th year, SVFF kicks off another five days of Films, Coffee Talks, Parties and more. SVFF supports independent film and the magic of storytelling. It’s mission to celebrate and award filmmakers who are established and emerging has earned the Festival accolades by the film industry, film festival goers, film lovers, and filmmakers. The year-round Sun Valley Film Initiative develops professionals and illuminates the process of filmmaking, propelling emerging voices with grants and education. Since 2012 the Sun Valley Film Festival has invited fans and filmmakers to America’s first ski resort to celebrate the magic of storytelling. In the past, Festival guests include Hollywood legends such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Clint Eastwood, Jodie Foster, Geena Davis, and Oliver Stone as well as avant-garde writers and filmmakers like Stephen Gaghan and Mark and Jay Duplass. The Sun Valley Wellness Festival (SVWF) has been at the forefront of the wellness movement for decades. Its pioneering wellness programs have positively impacted thousands of individuals in the local and global communities. 2023 will be the 26th year of the festival, which will take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 26-29, officially launching the summer event season in the Sun Valley area. Festival programs and activities will be held at the Argyros Performing Arts Center and the Limelight Hotel in Ketchum, Idaho. Building on its history of highlighting inspired thought leaders, the 2023 SVWF will feature dozens of pioneering presentations and workshops from leading wellness experts. The festival also will offer a free Experience Hall, which includes a variety of wellness vendors, as well as movement, and yoga classes, and unique guided outdoor wellness adventures such as holistic hiking and mountain meditations. The festival is produced by the non-profit Sun Valley Wellness Institute (SVWI), whose dedicated board and staff work tirelessly to create a world-class wellness event. This summer we celebrate the 54th edition of the popular Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival. Join us in beautiful Atkinson Park just off Main Street in Ketchum as we welcome 132 professional artists and craftspeople from 27 different states to the Wood River Valley. This Festival is a juried, outdoor, fine arts show that includes world-class artwork in categories such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, woodwork, metalwork, jewelry and more. The rigorous jury process used to select artists ensures the residents and visitors to the Festival will see truly exceptional work in all different categories. This Festival also has food trucks, a picnic area, live music, and a kids’ activity area. It is completely free and open to the public. Each fall, the Trailing of the Sheep Festival honors the 150+ year annual tradition of moving sheep (‘trailing’) from high mountain summer pastures down through the Valley to traditional winter grazing and lambing areas in the south.
