The Sun Valley Music Festival presents its fifth Winter Season at the Argyros Performing Arts Center from March 15-17, 2023. The program will feature Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, one of the most popular works in all classical music, in an arrangement for 21 brass and percussion musicians that captures the power and emotion of the original. Music Director Alasdair Neale will conduct the performances, which will also feature a series of short works showcasing the beauty and range of various instruments in the brass and percussion sections. Admission is free, and the atmosphere at the Argyros will be intimate, offering the perfect setting for audience members to experience this beautiful music up close and personal. This year’s program will feature two acts with an intermission, and the same program will be performed each evening. Tickets Admission is free, but space is limited, and reservations are required. Reservations for the public begin on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m. (Mountain Time). Seating is limited to two seats per household for one performance. ![]() For four days this season, BCRD welcomes the community to enjoy free Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on all BCRD winter trails. The 32-kilometer multi-use Wood River Trail, which runs from Ketchum to Bellevue, is always free. The Wood River Trail is groomed every other day and is open to skiers, walkers, dogs, and fat-bikes. The Ski Free Days for the 2022/23 season are: Saturday, December 10 Sunday, January 8 Saturday, February 25 Wednesday, March 22 For Ski Free Day on Saturday December 10th at Galena: – Free rentals at Galena (no reservations) – Free 30 minute skate or classic group lessons at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00 (no reservations – just walk into the shop)

![]() Blaine County Recreation District invites the community to join in the free 2023 Wood River Trail Challenge, which runs from January 27 through February 28 To complete the challenge, participants must ski, walk, snowshoe, or snowbike the entire 32 kilometers of the Wood River Trail, from Hulen Meadows in Ketchum to Gannett Road in Bellevue. Participants may tackle the challenge all at once or break the trail up into sections and complete them between January 27 – February 28. Finishers will need to complete and mail a form to receive a prize from the BCRD. The Wood River Trail is a 32-kilometer multi-use, year-round path that provides a non-motorized connection between the Wood River Valley communities of Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum, and Sun Valley. BCRD grooms the Wood River Trail in the winter and provides this resource free for all users. MAP HERE
