Come out and kick-off spring at Dollar Mountain with a fun Rail Jam comp, followed by a high-energy Big Air exhibition from our valley’s best tricksters. Live music by DJN8 and party-rockin’ DJ duo SkiiTour out of Canada will be spinning the beats and keeping the vibes high throughout the evening. Grab the family, a buddy, and a cold beverage – festivities kick off at 2:30pm! Park at the Pavillion Lot and hop on a shuttle or take the Mountain Rides bus from town! Rail Jam is a fun opportunity for local athletes to show off their stuff ages 12+. Bib Pick Up 2-2:45pm on the mountain-side patio of Dollar, Competition from 3-4pm Competition categories will include 12-17 boys, 12 -17  girls, 18+ men, 18+ women, Pro Open men & Pro Open women Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each category. Kick off International Women’s Day at Sun Valley with a celebration of inclusivity and women in the outdoors! Festivities will begin at 10am with “A Lap for the Ladies.” Meet at top of Baldy to join in a fun rally cry and photo op before cruising down College! Not interested in going all the way to the top? Higher Ground will lead a lower mountain group from the top of Lower River Run at 10:15am. Costumes are encouraged! The celebration continues with The Women of Sun Valley- A Ski History Challenge. Take a selfie skiing or boarding down runs named for great female athletes that have shaped our Sun Valley community. Return your completed Ski History card to River Run Plaza, where DJ Marlene will be spinning the beats from 1-3pm. Completed challenge cards will be entered to win awesome prizes at the live drawing at 2pm! And, participants will receive a 20% off coupon for all Sun Valley retail locations good for the month of March. Registration is open for Demo Days 2023! This year, Demo Days will be held on Saturday, March 11th & Sunday, March 12th at the base of River Run from 9am to 3pm. This event gives participants a chance to test out next season’s equipment before purchasing and take advantage of some great deals! All equipment purchased by March 31st will receive the $50 registration fee credited to their equipment purchase and an additional 20% discount! SheJumps and Get the Girls Out are excited to invite you to a Sunset Skin-up Bald Mountain. Meet at River Run Lodge at the base of Bald Mountain for a Daylight Savings sunset skin up Baldy. We’ll skin up College and enjoy spectacular Pioneer Mountain views. Generous swag from Wild Rye will be offered! Required equipment includes: skins, skis or split boards with adjustable bindings, appropriate boots, a safety light, reflective clothing and a headlamp. No instruction will be provided. This meet-up event is free with a suggested donation of $10. Don’t miss the “Cold Bowl Pond Skim” on Dollar’s final day, Sunday, March 26th kicking off at 10am. Participants will try to make it across the pond on their skis or snowboard – in full costume! Wear your best Hawaiian or tropical-themed costume and come ready to enjoy BBQ, a family scavenger hunt, and lots of laughs! Pre-registration is required for pondskim participants. Register HERE Overflow parking for the weekend festivities will be available in the Pavilion Lot with shuttle access directly to Dollar Lodge. Please plan to take advantage of this shuttle as Dollar parking is very limited.

The ‘greatest party on snow’ will return yet again in its 24th iteration for 2023! As details unfold, they will be posted at www.svsef.org/events/24th-annual-janss-pro-am-classic/ The Janss Pro-Am Classic is held in memory of Mr. Bill Janss. A true renaissance man, Janss embodied the best qualities of the American spirit. He was dynamic, intelligent, fearless and kind, and had the vision and strength of character to boldly take Sun Valley Resort to the next level after purchasing it in 1964. Named to the 1940 Olympic Alpine Team, Janss remained a lifetime enthusiast and supporter of skiing and ski racing until his death in 1996. Because of Bill – his attributes, ethos and commitment to our community – the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation is proud to host the Janss Pro-Am Classic in his honor.
