Returning for its 12th year, SVFF kicks off another five days of Films, Coffee Talks, Parties and more. 2023 Films 2023 Honorees 2023 Schedule BUY PASSES SVFF supports independent film and the magic of storytelling. It’s mission to celebrate and award filmmakers who are established and emerging has earned the Festival accolades by the film industry, film festival goers, film lovers, and filmmakers. The year-round Sun Valley Film Initiative develops professionals and illuminates the process of filmmaking, propelling emerging voices with grants and education. Since 2012 the Sun Valley Film Festival has invited fans and filmmakers to America’s first ski resort to celebrate the magic of storytelling. In the past, Festival guests include Hollywood legends such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Clint Eastwood, Jodie Foster, Geena Davis, and Oliver Stone as well as avant-garde writers and filmmakers like Stephen Gaghan and Mark and Jay Duplass. With over 4,000 yearly attendees, SVFF has become known as the Festival for Filmmakers. The Sun Valley Film Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We’ll talk about energy and transportation infrastructure, Tribal justice, and the opportunity we have now to change the course of the Northwest and make all communities whole. Higher Ground will lead a lower mountain group from the top of Lower River Run at 10:15am. Costumes are encouraged! The celebration continues with The Women of Sun Valley- A Ski History Challenge. Take a selfie skiing or boarding down runs named for great female athletes that have shaped our Sun Valley community. Return your completed Ski History card to River Run Plaza, where DJ Marlene will be spinning the beats from 1-3pm. Completed challenge cards will be entered to win awesome prizes at the live drawing at 2pm!
