It’s after hours in the library on Christmas Eve, with only the cheerful Miss Trilling and the grumpy Mr. Heaps left to shelve the final books and turn out the lights.

The two librarians find themselves immersed in retelling Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Aided only by the usual trappings of a library, Miss Trilling and Mr. Heaps take on more than thirty characters and bring the classic tale of miserliness and redemptive generosity to life inside our very own Community Library.

Join The Community Library for this staged reading, which celebrates the power and wonder of imaginative reading together.

Directed by David Janeski and read by Aly Wepplo and Matthew Gorby. Appropriate for ages 5 and up. The staged reading runs for approximately 60 minutes.

Two performances: Friday, December 10 at 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, December 11 at 3:00 p.m.

Space is limited, so register at www.comlib.org to join us.

Proof of vaccination is required to attend in person at the Library, and both performances will also be live streamed on the Library’s Vimeo.
