The Blaine County Historical Museum is pleased to announce an upcoming free public event this September that we believe will be of strong interest to your readers.

Event: Sunset in the Sawtooth: Blaine County & the Old Idaho Penitentiary
Speaker: Samuel Anderson, Research & Education Coordinator, Old Idaho Penitentiary, and host of the Behind Gray Walls podcast
Date/Time: September 25th. 6PM
Location: Town Center West, 7 West Croy St Hailey, ID 83333

Join Samuel Anderson as he shares true tales from Idaho’s most infamous prison. From daring escapes and unsolved murders to stories of romance, redemption, and revenge, this hour-long presentation reveals the surprising connections between Blaine County and the Old Idaho Penitentiary. The talk will feature colorful figures such as Samuel Ridgway, Six Gun Jack, and Sterling Tucker—remarkable outlaws and lawmen from Blaine County’s vivid frontier past.

Following the presentation, guests are invited to enjoy a social hour at the museum, where they can meet the speaker, ask questions, and continue the conversation. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word about this exciting event. Please let me know if you would like additional information, images, or to arrange an interview with the speaker or museum representatives.

Thank you for your time and support in sharing local history with the community.
