DESCRIPTION:A screening of "Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry\," a ci
 nematic portrait of the changing landscapes and shifting values of rural Am
 erica in the era of industrial agriculture\, as seen through the mind’s e
 ye of writer\, farmer\, and activist\, Wendell Berry.\\n\\nThe first docume
 ntary about Berry\, "Look and See "was filmed in and around the rolling hil
 ls of Henry County\, Kentucky – where Berry lived and farmed from the mid
 -1960s until his death in August 2026. Filmmaker Laura Dunn skillfully weav
 es Berry’s poetic and prescient words with gorgeous cinematography and th
 e testimonies of his family and neighbors\, all of whom are deeply affected
  by the industrial and economic changes to their agrarian way of life.\\n\\
 nOften called “a prophet for rural America\,” Berry has long been a voi
 ce for the communities that are so often overlooked by the media. The film 
 immerses audiences into Berry’s world\, providing a space for talking abo
 ut the land and those who sustain it.\\n\\nIn person only. Registration req
 uested. The film runs 82 minutes and will be followed by a virtual Q&A with
  Ben Aguilar\, Director of Operations at The Berry Center\, a Kentucky non-
 profit that puts Wendell Berry’s writings to work by advocating for farme
 rs\, land-conserving communities\, and healthy regional economies. Aguilar 
 will now be joining us via Zoom after the film to discuss the Berry Center'
 s work and take questions.\\n\\nPresented in partnership with the Soldiers 
 of the Soil Initiative\, which connects military service with agrarian serv
 ice—building practical pathways for veterans to care for soil\, water\, l
 ivestock\, and rural communities.
