SUMMARY:Community Workshop: Building Ofrendas & Retablos with Alternative P
 hotography
DESCRIPTION:Prepare for our October 25th event\, Fiesta de los Ancestros\, 
 by making ofrendas (altars) and retablos (painted storytelling boxes) that 
 honor your ancestors. Families and community members of all ages will also 
 experiment with alternative photography processes to add images and symbols
  of memory to their creations.\\n\\nParticipants must submit photographs in
  advance via email to Dianne Sánchez at dsanchez@svmoa.org to take part in
  the alternative photo processes. If that’s not possible\, a laser-printe
 d photo or image cut from a magazine can also be used.\\n\\nThe event is ta
 kes place at the Hailey Classroom from 1–4pm. Join us!\\n¡GRATIS!\\n\\nP
