SUMMARY:A Decade of Wilderness: Boulder-White Clouds Hiking Series
DESCRIPTION:Ten years ago this summer\, the Boulder-White Clouds were perma
 nently protected – a historic achievement that took the efforts of ICL an
 d its supporters decades to make a reality. In celebration of a decade of p
 rotections for this special place\, we’d like to invite you to join ICL o
 n a summer hiking series throughout the protected areas.\\n\\nSpace is very
  limited due to Wilderness regulations (maximum group size is 12 people)\, 
 so please sign up in advance and note that the start time is the time we wi
 ll be meeting at the listed trailhead.\\n\\nWednesday\, September 10th 8:30
 am – 3:30pm North Fork of the Bigwood River\\n\\nThis beautiful valley fo
 llows the North Fork of the Bigwood River as it flows off the Boulder Divid
 e and down the slopes of some of the largest mountains in the area. The tra
 il is out-and-back with moderate vertical gain (about 1\,000 ft) over about
  6 miles. We’ll head into the heart of the Hemingway-Boulders Wilderness\
 , and you’ll feel the true “out there” feelings that define Wildernes
 s.\\n\\nMeeting Place: North Fork Wood River trailhead (the end of the road
  past the SNRA headquarters)\, about 30 minutes from Ketchum – four-wheel
  drive vehicle recommended – carpools available if you need a ride.
