SUMMARY:WORKSHOP: Travel Sketching Intensive—For Those on the Go! with Ji
 m Caldwell
DESCRIPTION:Awaken your creativity and create trip souvenirs that you will 
 treasure. In this 5-day intensive\, learn how to capture a travel scene or 
 still life in ink and Prismacolor. Each 3-hour class will start with a slid
 e show in the Museum classroom\, then go outside to sketch\, and end with a
  group critique back in the Museum classroom. The inspiration for our trave
 l drawings will be Jim’s good friend and artist\, Bill Fain.\\n\\nAll mat
 erials and supplies will be provided and are part of the tuition.\\n\\nAge 
 & ability: 18+\, all levels\, beginners welcome!\\n\\nThis 5-session worksh
 op will take place Monday-Friday\, Aug 4–8\, from 9:30am–12:30pm daily.
 \\nAbout the Instructor\\nBorn in New York in 1942\, Jim Caldwell has spent
  most of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from Williams
  College in 1964 as an Art Major and spent the next year in Paris studying 
 printing and etching at the École des Beaux Arts. In 1969\, he received hi
 s Master of Architecture Degree from the Yale School of Architecture. Jim h
 as had over 45 one-man shows\, and his paintings are represented in more th
 an 450 collections worldwide. Jim’s Sun Valley connections go back to the
  1950’s. Jim has been teaching drawing and painting for more than 20 year
 s.
